Caprioara Rough Collies

Hi there, my name is Pat. I have been breeding and showing my Rough Collies for 14 years now. I have had some success in the show ring, but I show my dogs for fun as they enjoy it.

I only breed occasionally, and so I sometimes have a waiting list for those that wish to have one my puppies.

Some have had success in the show ring, but most are sold as pets and enjoy a variet of fun pursuits, like flyball and agility. Puppies are sold to approved homes, as the home for my puppies is of the most importance.

I also have stud dogs, that you may be interested in using, if so, please contact me and pedigrees can be sent on request.

The following dogs make up the Caprioara kennel. All my dogs are kept indoors with me, and enjoy camping around the various shows. They are fit for function, and fit for life, and they are the typical classic collie type that were around many years ago.

WICANI SPECTRAL BLUE VIA CAPRIOARA - 'Captain' Ch Wicani Leading Light x Wicani China Doll

Presenting our goegous blue boy 'Captain'. He has done well in the show ring and has qualified for Crufts many times. He has super movement, a very good head, good underjaw, good eye shape and placement. Captain is of the standard and has been used at stud producing quality puppies. He has a super silverly blue colour and a quality coat. He has a great temperament, he loves life and knows how to enjoy himse.f He is the 'Captain' of our kennel and very much loved. Captain is available for stud.

CAPRIOARA GREY OWL - 'Soda' - son of Captain DOB 28.4.2010 Wicani Spectral Blue via Caprioara x Myriehewe Ouija Board via Caprioara

We present our first home bred boy that we kept. Soda has good head qualities, a correct light single tracking gait, a good bend of stifle, a pale silvery blue coat, and he enjoys showing off. He too has qualified for Crufts many times. He combines both the Wicani and Myriehewe English lines. He is of the standard and is 24" tall. We have great expectations for our 'Soda'.

Caprioara Silver Cloud - 'Ghost Mdr1 +/- CEA clear/carrier DOB 20/08/2013 Wicani Spectral Blue via Caprioara x Starswept Velvet via Caprioara

Introducing another home bred boy..... GHOST. This boy combines the old Wicani breeding with new genes from his Americian mother. Ghost is a marbled silvery blue with a white shawl, he has a very long tail, long arched neck, he stands at 24 inches at the shoulder, he has the correct fitted jacket, and a wedged shaped head, and correct eye shape and placement. He has good dentition and a nice well made chin. Ghost has good ring presence and moves with purpose and has a free flowing movement. Ghost has a cheeky persona and enjoys being part of the gang. He has done well in the show ring only being shown a handful of times and being placed twice in Minor Puppy Dog at 2 champ shows thus gaining a Crufts qualifier for 2015. Ghost is available for stud.

MYSTICTEAM BOND ON BOND VIA CAPRIOARA - 'Jasper' DOB 23.11.06 - MDR +/- Eyes mildly affected Wicani Whats New Pussycat x Sassari Summer Skies

Presenting our 'Jasper' who unfortunately does not enjoy the show ring, so is shown very lightly, but he has managed to qualify for Crufts many years. He has good straight legs, nice tight feet, and a jet black coat. He is of the standard and is 23" tall. He has already sired a litter at Ravenskye kennels, where they kept three bitches, and one of the blue boys has done very well in the show ring. Jasper is a steady fun loving, very fit, and happy dog, and he carries the old Wicani lines.

CAPRIOARA HEAVEN CAN WAIT - 'Houdini' DOB 9.9.11 - MDR +/- CEA Normal Eyes - Eye Clear Canadian Ch.Glasgowhills with Pride at Wicani (Imp) x Myriehewe Ouija Board via Caprioara

Houdini is our second home bred boy we kept. he has the combined breeding of both Canadian and English lines, which means that he brings new blood lines into our kennel. He is of the standard and has excellent movement, tight small feet, his coat is jet black, and he is 24" tall, and he has a sweet expression. He has plenty of ring presence, he is a kind and loveable Collie. He qualified for Crufts 2013. We at Caprioara have high hopes for this lovely Tri colour dog

Caprioara Prince of Theives - 'Raffles' Caprioara Grey Owl x Caprioara Black Secret DOB 28.11.2015

Introducing my home bred boy Raffles he is a dark tri boy has a great temperament and loves life. He has been placed at all the shows he has attended and is a real show off. He loves other dogs and people and a his name suggests he is a little thief loves to pinch what ever he can get hold of, but he is a new star in this kennel.

Aslan is a delightful funny boy who just loves to please, he is very gentle,loves other dogs and is a joy to be around. Aslan bring new blood into the family and has done very well in the show ring winning many classes and also Best of Breeds and groups he really is a show off, his best attributes are his movement which is wonderful and his very rich dark sable coat with strands of black who will get darker as he gets older, and his wonderful temperment as the saying goes.. like a fine wine it only gets better with age Aslan is available at stud - pedigree on request
