There is an empty space on the sofa and and an even bigger one in Gwen Beadon’s heart as one of precious companions, Elvis, left home recently following a very sudden illness.

Elvis, was known officially as Ch Angelfield Heaven Can Wait and he was named as when born, Gwen was determined this lifeless pup was not leaving the world with her trying to revive him. Gwen spent some long time breathing air into the little body and eventually he responded, hence his official name!

Elvis was one of a litter from Ch Samhaven Champers at Angelfield, bred officially by husband Geoff, he belonged solely to Gwen.
Born 27th May 2013, he was sired by Int Ch Rydeen Blaze of Glory and his litter mates included Ch Angelfield Verve Cliquot and Angelfield Frankel (1cc).

It was not long before Elvis gained his Junior Warrant and his 1st CC from Maria Foulston at Mid Cos in 2015, his 2nd came at Birmingham National the following year from Penny Sewell and his crown from the late Vic Salt at Bath in the same year.
Elvis was a well travelled young man, collecting many awards including some won whilst travelling abroad. In Germany, he won the CAC from Open from an entry of 38 under breed judge Harald Steinmetz. In the challenge for the CACIB, he annexed the Reserve CACIB. The following day, was spent relaxing at the show and on Sunday Heike Bilsheim was the judge and awarded him the class and eventually the Reserve CACIB from an entry of 58.

The following year he returned to Dortmund, which was a Bundessieger and annexed BOB from Marion Ten Cate, but before this he also went to Brussels where he brought home the title of Benelux Winner from Judith Koraz Papp. Interesting note here, as Judith had awarded his dam, Ch Samhaven Champers at Angelfield, known as Patsy, her 3rd and crowning CC at “the British” in 2013.
Elvis certainly made a name for himself abroad and at home, he was a very special boy who will be missed dearly
