Breed Notes It was with sadness I was told of the recent death of Sheila Bredda, who had close family ties with both Mike & Carol Morgan (Baiodora). Sheila had not been well for some time and had been resident in a care home and reached the grand age of 93. Gary Breda, has asked if anyone would like to donate, they can do this to a Collie charity of their choice. His telephone number is 07810807226 In her early days of collie ownership, she came to the shows with her son Gary, who often took over the handling for her. This small kennel housed a few Champions, one a tri bitch, Ch Volterra Future Vision bred by Dee Read, (Ch Antoc Midnight Cowboy ex Volterra Vision In Blue). The sable male, Ch Sonza Star Wars who was homebred sired by Ch Geoffdon Westlynns Wayside Boy ex Ch Volterra Future Vision and the blue bitch, Ch Elegance In Bloo at Delamere. Sheila and Gary attended many of the local shows in the South-West but were prepared to travel if the judge suited. Their small kennel produced some good local winners in Sonza Amarillo, Asian Spirit, Jonnys Boy with Peptide who won well for the late Anne Markesky. To all relations and family we send our thoughts. Finally, some news concerning the EACA Ch show planned for April this year. There has been a change of judge for bitches and Smooth Collies. Due to the circumstances beyond their control, Ulla Berg-Persson (Bermarks) who was due to judge has been replaced by Anne Smith (Tentola). Ulla has now received KC Confirmation that she will now judge the EACA second Ch show planned for 1st August – so make a note in your diary. Carole Smedley |
