Breed Notes

Firstly, very many congratulations to the Starlenga kennel of Gary, Margo and Louise Walker. Their young blue bitch, handled by Louise, Starlenga Nina Simone (along with a few others from the kennel) went to the North of Scotland Sheepdog Club show, held last Saturday, where Tracy Gartland (Arcot) was judging. From an entry of 21 Roughs and and overall entry of 136 dogs, (and a few absentees) their puppy won not only BOB, BPIB and then, under judge Cath Moffat, Kyleca, she took BIS and BPIS. This little lady, born 10th July 2021 is sired by Starlenga All That Jazz for Aaronwell out of Beldones Baby Think Twice at Starlenga.

Sunday saw many gather at Littleport Leisure Centre for the EACA Open show. With 25 classes (16 Rough; 6 Smooth and 3 SAC classes) Both Roughs and Smooths were judged by Jacky Cutler (Lankeela) and Gill Whitaker (Siluto) took on the SAC classes. There was an entry of 61, with 2 NFC.

In dogs, Brian Hull piloted Lizmark Gold Standard ShCm to take Veteran. Alone in MP was Dee and Samantha Vogan and Luminous Moon. Puppy had Takhisis Lysander winning for Michelle Chaplin.  Gwen Beadon took Junior with Myriehewe London Calling and Yearling was Prince of Sunlight Handsome Devil who had been 3rd in Junior and is owned by Mrs Nadaiah Lee Lungley from Frinton on Sea.  Gwen then had the pleasure of winning PG with the sire of her junior winner, Marvalan Spirit of Rock (Imp Pol). Limit was won by Tiganlea Task Master at Trenic for Jean Singh, handled by John Tipper and Open went to Miranda and Corydon Pol Roger.
BD was Tiganlea Task Master at Trenic, with Marvalan Spirit if Rock in Reserve. BPD was Takhisis Lysander, with BVD Lizmark Gold Standard.

Bitches followed Smooths, also judged by Jacky and winning Veteran was a daughter of the VD winner, Lizmark Bek’s Beauty for Brian Hull. Only one in MP and that was Drofgnal Dazzling Desire, owned by Dee & Samantha Vogan and a L/s to their MPD winner. Dave & Sue Randall started winning with Ladnar Izadorable who took PB; Junior went to Phreelancer Phormal Dress and Lene Newman. Corydon Clarissa won Yearling for Miranda. Post Grad was a nice win for Michelle Smith and her Rashel Razzle Dazzle, Limit went to Dave & Sue with Ladnar Inkspot whilst another Ladnar, this time Ladnar Quick Step at Newarp and Pat Lister won Open.

Best Bitch was Ladnar Inkspot, RBB to Tiganlea Twinkling Star who was 2nd in Limit. BPB was Ladnar Izadorable with Veteran going to Lizmark Bek’s Beauty.

BOB was Ladnar Inkspot, RBOB to Twinkling Star, Best Puppy to Izadorable and BVIB to the dog, Lizmark Gold Standard.
Jacky, who had given BOB Smooth to Kirsty Russell and Koczkodan Steal My Heart decided for BIS and this went to the Rough. RBIS to the Rough dog, who was also BOSIS. BPIS went to the Smooth, who was also BPIB.  RBPIS  was awarded to the rough bitch and BMPIS to Luminous Moon. The award for BVIS went to the smooth of Marianne Benton and Oakestelle Venus De Milo.

Gill Whittaker had judged the mixed Rough and Smooth SAC classes, which were well filled, found her winners in Mejola Main Event (Puppy); Phreelancer Phormal Dress (PG) and winning Open was Ladnar Inkspot.
