It was a privilege and a pleasure to be invited to judge Rough Collies at my first championship show for The Welsh Kennel Club. I would like to thank the officers and committee for the warm welcome given to Tony and myself. Thanks also to my very capable hard working stewards Anthony Brooks and Lynda Ward who kept proceedings running smoothly and the exhibitors who supported me at my first CC appointment and traveled in some horrendous weather. The sporting way they accepted my decisions and the sunshine that appeared helping to make it a pleasurable experience.

1st: CRONK’S Ch Chelborn Kiss'n Tell A well known 8 year old tri I have always admired. Beautiful Head, Eye and Expression, well used ears, has a good neck and front correct height to ratio, plenty bone, good coat and well presented sound on the move.

1st: TELFORD’S Glenbowdene A Vision Of Gold 8 month old promising sable all in proportion, good body shape, well constructed with a good reach of neck. Excellent ear carriage, his head balanced giving good expression. Good bone and moved soundly covered the ground with ease. Best Puppy Dog
2nd: HASSOCK’S Marjalu Music Man At Camanna 6 month old tri, correct head pleasing stop, lovely eye and expression. Has a good neck and outline, pleasing bone and in good coat that was well presented. Needs time to grow on but is very promising.
3rd: COULSON’S Tiganlea Bag Of Tricks

1st: JONES’S Erjon Early Edition 11 month old sable and white, excellent make and shape with good reach of neck, a balanced head, lovely eye giving correct expression. Moved with drive well presented and handled.
2nd: HASSOCK’S Marjalu Music Man At Camanna
3rd: BROOKER’S Riverside Song A Kind Of Magic Over Corisian (Imp) 9 month old golden sable and white, smaller make and shape than above but a good looking puppy. Balanced head, lovely eye and ears which he used well to give a melting expression. Correct shoulder and topline and rear end angulation with neat hocks giving true movement.

1st: CONGDON’S Monsolana Bounty Taste For Aaronwell (Imp) 13 month old tri, very handsome young man, clean head well moulded muzzle good underjaw, clean well placed stop eye and expression. Correct ear carriage which were well used. Good neck and outline with beautiful bone and feet, excellent coat and condition, well presented and handled. 
Moved well fore and aft.
2nd: COLLINS’S Jump In The Fire Du Bois Des Amazones At Triburle 14  month old lovely headed sable and white with correct stop and eye placement. Good underjaw lovely expression. Correct make and shape, good condition just moved a bit wide at the back today.
3rd: EDWARDS’S Moonpromises Ever After (Imp)

1st: COULSON’S Tiganlea Bag Of Tricks 8 month old tri in good condition, nice make and shape, correct outline, just needs to clear in stop which will come as he matures. Giving his handler a hard time today.

1st: McCARTE’S Lynmack Walk All Over You at Roughrigg Lovely head, good muzzle and chin, correct eye and expression, ears on top, good neck and outline. Well balanced giving correct angulation, just coming into coat and moved OK
2nd: CLARE’S Bluchip Solar Storm Of Skyeshelm 4 year old tri overall well balanced collie with no exaggeration, clean wedge, correct angulation covered ground with ease.
3rd: ROAD’S & FOX’S Alanita All That Jazz

1st: JONES’S Erjon Excelebration 2 and a half years old excellent type, lovely clean wedge, correct eye and ear carriage which he used well giving true expression. Good reach of neck level topline and in good condition. Sound movement front and rear, moved with drive.

1st: CONGDON’S Monsolana Bluzstar For Aaronwell (Imp) 4 and a half year old stunning blue merle, excellent colour, lovely make and shape, depth of chest and length of body, clean wedge head, well rounded foreface masculine but not coarse, correct stop well used ears. Nice shaped eye giving lovely expression. Presents himself well covered the ground with ease. Res. C.C.
2nd: DAVIES’ Chelborn Dependable 3 and a half year old sable and white, well presented dog from excellent type, masculine make and shape, good bone, well molded foreface, correct head planes, nice eye and used his ears. Slightly overweight which affected his movement making him lethargic.
3rd: LEVERTON’S Salsina Storm Catcher At Rhodabern

1st: BLAIKIE’S Willowdene Double Or Quits At Wassail 3 and a half year old tri colour in top condition, great bone, lovely substance, excellent make and shape not a big dog but masculine. Deep chest, correct front and rear angulation, neat short hocks. Correct head and expression, lovely dark eye, moulded foreface and good underjaw, arched neck, excellent lay of shoulder and bend of stifle, firm level topline held on the move. well muscled and moved out freely driving and striding out for his lady handler. Pleased to award him the C.C. which I understand gives him his title. CC. B.O.S
2nd: WALKER’S Starlenga Dizzie Rascal 4 year old sable and white I have always admired. Correct body shape and balanced throughout, good reach of neck, good bone and substance, clean wedge head, well filled foreface nice eye and expression, good stop. He was a little unsettled which affected his ear carriage and performance. Moved ok

1st: CRONK’S,& GRAINGER’S Ch Coral Sand At Samhaven 11 year old sable and white in good condition, still retained her head pattern, correct head, good eye placement, rounded foreface and good underjaw. Good reach of neck,, level topline which she kept on the move. Excellent tail carriage. Absolutely sound and moved with drive same as when I judged her 10 years ago. Thanks for bringing her. B.V.I.B
2nd: MCCANN’S Ch Buebezi Ensorcellement At Zolkhan 8 year old lovely coloured blue merle I have always admired since a puppy, presented in full bloom , finer type than 1 but quality is the same. Good head and expression well placed stop shows continually, beautifully presented as always from this kennel a pleasure to judge.
3rd: DAVIES’ Sabiha's Songbird With Sachenda Another lovely sable and white bitch a credit to her owner.

1st: WRAY’S Beldones Duchess Of Dreams 9 month old sable and white lovely shape, great reach of neck,  neat oval feet, clean lines well balanced, correct angulations front and rear, excellent head pattern and expression. Well placed dark eye, good ear carriage that she used well. Very confident for minor puppy, moved with drive and extension.
2nd: BROOKER’S Riverside Song Bossa Nova Baby Joins Corisian (Imp) 7 month old sable and white with the sweetest expression, coming from well placed dark eye neat ears correct underjaw, well coated, lovely make and shape, neat short hocks. Moved soundly well presented and attentive to handler. Very close decision unlucky to meet 1

1st: MITCHELL’S, & JORDAN’S Caronlea Pixie Chick TAF 9 month old sable and white immaculately presented. Good headlines with correct sweet eye and expression, well filled foreface, well set ears, good reach of neck, lovely  length and depth of body, showed and moved well to gain B.P.B and B.P.I.B.
2nd: BEARE’S Guilty Secret With Brilyn 11 month old sable and white, balanced head, well filled foreface good eye placement, lovely ears used constantly giving her a sweet expression. Nice body shape moved and handled and presented well.
3rd: HARRISON’S Cariadhaf Classic Touch

1st: MCCORMICK’S Lynmack Let There Be Rock 15 month old sable and white, well presented, quality bitch, soundly constructed with good reach of neck good body shape, moved well, balanced head, good eye placement and ear carriage giving feminine expression. If had been in full coat would of been contender for reserve C.C.
2nd: LOCKYER’S Redola Star Connection At Gataj well finished 15 month old sable and white, lovely eye and expression, good head properties, well used ears, good neck, lovely make and shape, moved and presented well.
3rd: BOYLE’S Barrenclough Golden Charm

2nd: WHITAKER’S Aniesh Misty Blue Moon of Siluto feminine bitch with balanced head, nice tan, good eye giving nice expression. Neat ears, good neck,  good clear colour but out of coat. Nothing to hide sound mover.

PGB (2 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: HAWKINS’S Brilyn Glory Days Well presented feminine 2 year old sable and white. Good eye placement, rounded foreface, would like more underjaw, good ear set, nice make and shape although very fine. Good tail carriage, movement sound.

LB (8 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: GROWCOTT’S Jopium Fascinator 3 year old jet black tri, nice head pattern, clean moulded foreface, correct stop, good skull, good eye with sweet expression, good ears. Very well balanced with good reach of neck. Good spring of rib, excellent shoulder angulation, good length of back. Correct bend of stifle a construction that helped her move sound and true. C.C.
