Rough Collie Dogs - Mr Malcolm Patterson (Treeview)
Many thanks to MCC for giving me the chance to judge the dog classes, also thanks to my two stewards, Mark and Linda, who kept things running smoothly.
Veteran Dog
1. Walkers Ch Hanvale Doogie Howser. 10 year old gentleman who moved like a youngster, he is from a Champion that I admired, and he has passed on many of his attributes to his son. Lovely clean head, good stop, neat ears nicely tipped, good reach of neck and well filled foreface, well presented.
Minor Puppy Dog
1. McEntee Gerian Sunconnection. 9 month sable/white very compact dog, head handles well for one so young, has good bone, nice dark eye giving a nice expression. Has time on his side to grow into a very nice dog
2. McLaughlin Moondance de Cabreynsset for Brihow (Imp Fra). 7 months blue merle well up for size, head at this stage just right, has good reach of neck and length of back, showed well
3. Primmer Tremaro Double Dare
Puppy Dog
1. Lockyer Gataj Beau of Surprises. Yes he was a surprise. I have seen him from the ringside and I was not disappointed, liked him a lot. Tri of nearly 12 months in top order, nice head, lovely shaped eye, good reach of neck and nice length of back, moved well and well presented.
2. Walker Beldones Seducteur at Starlenga. 12 month sable/white has a well balanced head and good stop. Dark eye, neat ears, nice reach of neck and length of back. Nice bend of stifle and short hocks
3. Boyle Barrenclough Diamond Days
Junior Dog
1. Brown Mertrisa Wild Fire. Liked this young dog very much that I considered him for the reserve CC. Just lost out to a more mature dog. Full of quality, balanced head, nicely moulded foreface, stop in the right place, nice flat skull, nice lay of shoulder, moved well
2. Allen Lynmack Labryinth. Another nice dog, sable/white has a nice wedge shaped head, nice dark eye, flat skull, good length of back. Liked his shape, his owner should have some fun with him.

Graduate Dog
1. Hollywood Amalie Lynmead Say It Again. Sable/white in top order. Head handles well, stop in the right place, ice dark eye, neat ears, good depth of chest, good reach of neck, into well laid shoulders. Movement was a joy to see
2. Congdon Monsolana Bounty Taste for Aaronwell Jw ShCm(Imp Rus).
3. Jones Erjon Early Edition
Post Graduate
1. French Samhaven Name That Tune. Sable/White stood alone, he would rather be at home, needs more training
Mid Limit
1. Waterhouse Born To Be Your Quite Famous Lynmead (Imp Hun). Same sire as my CC winner, just loved his head and expression. Would like to see him in full coat but this did not alter the fact that he is quality, he has good lay of shoulder, and spring of rib, length of back, moved well.
2. Congdon Monsolana Velvet Blue for Aaronwell (Imp Rus). Very compact blue merle nicely balanced head, nice moulded foreface, and nice dark eye, moved well.
3. Slater Danfrebek Double O Seven
Limit
1. Brooker I am Fantastic Du Bois Des Amazones for Corisian. I understand he got RCC at this show last year, could not be denied the CC today. I liked everything about him. Firstly I must comment on the excellent presentation from his manicured feet to the tip of his tail, I found nothing to dislike about him, stood four square showing all the time with a captivating expression, nice head and eye. Stop in right place, flat skull, lovely reach of neck, good length of back, good spring of rib and lay of shoulder . Nice short hocks, moved effortlessly. Hope the other two come. Well done.
2. Maxwell and Wallis Trenley Tatenen at Hamisks. I have seen this dog compete for top honours many times. Worthy RCC Sable/White in top order, lovely headed dog, well filled foreface, good stop, and flat skull, good reach of neck and lay of shoulder and length of back, movement excellent.
3. Tiganlea Too Good To Be Forgotten
Open Dog
1. Brooker Riverside Song A Kind of Magic over Corisian (Imp Rom). Groomed to perfection as always from this kennel. Have seen this dog at the shows, liked him a lot and not disappointed on how he has matured. Head handles well, nice dark shaped eye, giving desired expression. Good length of back, nice turn of stifle, short hocks, showed better than 2nd, movement excellent.
2. Cronk Chelborn Decision. Liked this dog very much, not showing so well indoors, would like to see him outside, not a born showman, but what he has is class. Another nice dog from this kennel. Nice expression, flat skull, well off for bone, spring of rib and length of back. Moved well.
3. Davies Chelborn Dependable
