Special Awards Classes

I would like to thank the officers and committee of EACA for inviting me to judge the Special Awards classes, also Miranda Blake for keeping things running smoothly.  Thank you to the exhibitors as well for the sporting way they accepted my decisions, I was spoilt for choice.

Puppy (4/1)
1st – Gedde’s Ingledene Mercury Risin, 7 month old blue merle dog of excellent colour, well balanced head, with correct eye, well placed ears used to his advantage, flat skull, lovely reach of neck, good shoulder angulation, and length of back, well sprung ribs and deep chest, level topline which he held on the move, well boned, good bend of stifle, moved with plenty of drive as his construction would suggest, presented in good coat and condition, certainly one that is sure to have a bright future, look forward to watching him mature.
2nd – Philpin’s Tudorlyn A Kind of Magic, 9 month Tricolour bitch, with a lovely head and expression, sweet eye of correct shape, good ears which she used well, in good coat which was beautifully presented, well arched neck, and spring of rib, good length of back and turn of stifle, moved well, but not as positive as 1.
3rd – Alexander’s Ingledene Aramis.

Post Graduate (9/1)
1st – Milligan & Marley’s Ladnar Trust In Me, 17 month old blue merle bitch, lovely eye and expression, well moulded foreface, correct eye and flat skull, ear correctly set and used well, good reach of neck, and well placed shoulders, well sprung ribs, and deep chest, good length of back, well bent stifles, showed non-stop, in-between coats at the moment, but nothing to hide, when back in full coat she will trouble the best, excellent presentation, moved out with plenty of drive.
2nd – Stillwell’s Bellawave Caught In a Dream, 4 yr old Tricolour bitch, different type to 1, but a lot to like, well moulded head, with eyes of correct shape, correct ears used to her advantage, well angulated shoulders and lovely length of neck, level topline which she held on the move, well bent stifle, strong hocks, presented in lovely condition, effortless movement which one her the place in this class.
3rd  - Whittaker’s Siluto Misterious Girl.

Open (13/4)
1st – Randall’s Fata Turchina Ladnar Di Cambiano (Imp), 3 year old blue merle bitch, one I have admired from the ringside, thank you for giving me the opportunity of judging her, and she did not disappoint, she has the sweetest of expressions, beautiful eye, well moulded foreface, flat skull, ear well set and used non-stop, lovely well arched neck leading to well angulated shoulders, level topline, which she held on the move, which she done with ease, gave a lovely picture in profile and on the move, in good coat, which was very well presented, loved her, wished she was mine.
2nd – MacDonald’s Brooklynson Hepburn at Rossavon, 4 year old mahogany sable of beautiful colour, elegant bitch, different type to 1, but oozes quality, she never stopped showing all day, lovely head and expression, good eye, flat skull, correct ears, lovely well arched neck, leading to well laid shoulders, well sprung rib, extremely well presented, not a hair out of place, I just preferred the sweeter expression of 1 today, but this bitch is definitely one to watch.
3rd – Philpin’s Sassari Snow Shimmer for Tudorlyn.
