CRITIQUE FOR LONDON COLLIE  CLUB SHOW 2021

I would like to thank the Committee of London Collie for running this amazing event – two shows on one day – during these very difficult times. Everything was superbly well organized and the Committee were cheerful and helpful to everyone – making for a lovely atmosphere. It ran like clockwork and the Committee should commend themselves.  A big thank you for my steward who kept everything running smoothly.  I would like to thank all exhibitors for their entry.  The weather was very hot and this being the 2nd show of the day started in the high heat of the afternoon but thankfully all rings we were under the shade of an open sided marquee. Unfortunately due to the hot weather and the ground not being up to its usual standard of this showground (rabbit damage) it was necessary to be forgiving with some of the movement.  If I can make a couple of observations – I am concerned that there are a number of dogs with roundish eyes and light eyes,  also length of tail in some is rather short, it should reach to the hock at least giving  for a more elegant outline.

1st Miss A G Lusty BLAMORDER AUDACITY
Nicely coloured 7 mth old Tri dog. – with correct coat.  Pleasing outline.  Good head pattern and correct ear placement.  Correct shape dark eye.  Moved well and showed well  Would have preferred more of him.

2nd Miss S D Flower BRECKAMORE PEAKY BLUNDER ATLYNDARYN
Beautiful blue merle 8 mth old dog.  Lovely eye and head pattern.  Needs to mature in body.  Very much at an immature stage at present.

1st Ms A French WYNELE TOP GUN
Nicely coloured, 9 mth old sable dog .  Stood alone.  Correct shape eye – giving lovely expression, well set ears –used to advantage.  Lovely head.  Good overall shape – well put together.  Good front and chest.  Beautiful in outline.  Took my eye.  Moved with drive RDCC.

Tri dog , good colour and coat.  Correct ear placement – used well.  Good bone.  Nice overall shape.  Showed well.  Moved ok

2nd Mrs K M, Mr M S & Mrs CJ &  Mr M A Martin & Howard SHANDLMAIN BLU CHIEF Substantial blue merle dog.  Good bone.  Masculine.  Probably suffering from the heat – as he did not show as well as he possible could.   Head handled ok.  Nice eye shape.  Rather narrow in front.

1st  Mr B Nualls WYNELE INDIAN INK
Tri dog – Well marked, correct coat.  Correctly put together young dog- who is maturing nicely.  Excellent bone, good reach of neck, good length of back – giving an overall pleasing shape.  His head handles well, he has lovely dark correct shaped eye.  He showed well.   Moved out.

2nd Mrs C J & Mr M A Howard JACK MACK’ S VA BUIDHINN OF SHANDLMAIN
Nicely coloured Tri dog.  I would have preferred a little more length of back to height ratio- to give him a more correct outline.  Unfotunately appeared to be suffering from the heat on this occasion.

1st Mr T & Mrs B Hayward Ch FOXEARTH FORMULA ONE
Masculine tri dog – who was unfortunately like many a little out of coat today.  It cannot however detract from his beautiful clean balanced head.  Good eye.  Well set ears used to advantage.  Sweet expression  Good bone & construction giving an overall balanced outline, which enabled him to move correctly with ease.   DCC Res BOB, B.O.S.I.S

2nd MrR J & Mrs J M Denton Ch BRECKENHAY FIELDS OF GOLD
Shaded sable dog of good size.  Masculine.  Lovely expression , well set ears – used well.  Head handles well.  Correctly made – giving lovely overall outline.  Moved well

Sable bitch – very similar in type to her litter brother.  Beautiful expression.  Very feminine.  Correct head.  Fabulous overall impression. Unfortunately in the Challenge she failed to settle.3rd

2nd BRECKAMORE BLESSINGS AT WYSTRY 6.10.20 Ms M & Mr G Davis & Brown
Fine femine tri bitch.  Another one who needs to mature in body.  One of the better movers.  Head pattern ok.

Nicely put together Tri bitch, who caught my eye.in the Challenge. Clean head. Dark correct shape eye.  Correct overall shape.  Good bone.  A show girl.  Daughter of my DCC winner.  Moved well.  RBCC

2nd Mrs C J & Mr M A Howard BRACKENHAYE HEARTBREAKER AT SHANDLMAIN  Tri bitch – litter sister to my winner.  Well made, very similar in head to her sister but preferred the overall outline of my winner.

Very feminine blue merle bitch – who shows to advantage.  Correct overall shape. Nice head, Correct eye  Would prefer a little more of her.  Moved well

2ND Ms A French FOXEARTH FABOSTINTA
Tri bitch.  Good colour /jacket.  Pleasing overall shape with clean head.  Moved well, however she didn’t show as well as she could.  Unfortunately she lost out to my winner as she was suffering from the heat

Tri bitch, well marked.  Smaller in type than my winner.  Feminine bitch.  Good head pattern with well placed ears .Pleasing overall shape.  Showed well and moved ok.

Stunning tri bitch.   The breed standard was written for this bitch.  She has a classic head, lovely eye and expression, so well constructed and beautiful overall shape.  It was an honour to be able to handle her.  Thank you for bringing her BCC & B.O.B, R.B.I.S, B.V.I.S
