Smooth Collies
Thank you to those who entered under me and thank you to my lovely stewards. Not a numerically large entry though this did not in any way diminish an enjoyable day as the quality dogs turned up on the day and I was very pleased with my winners.
Bites / teeth were all correct and clean.  Temperaments where excellent.  No open coats where present today

Minor Puppy Dog
1st   Seager’s  Blamorder Scale Force.  Eight and a half month old tri of decent overall shape.  Well up to size for age.  Head is broad at the moment and ears where wide set & erratic.   He is in good condition.  Needs more training as difficult to go over and assess movement.  I hope his handler manages to spend the time training with him as we need new people coming into the breed.

Open Dog 
1st  Smith’s  UK, Port, Gib, Ch Winter is coming to Tentola.
Well made upstanding, five year old, blue merle of substance.  While his colour is not the clearest and I do find his head strong, he does possess a beautiful well placed dark eye with a good stop giving a pleasing expression, has well placed ears which he used nonstop.  Good reach of neck set onto correct shoulders.  Plenty of depth in chest with well sprung ribs. Good angulations fore and aft and correct height to length ratio.  He covers the ground well with good extension and never put a foot wrong working well with his handler.   Pleased to award him DCC & BOB.
2nd  Naull’s Ch Wynele Indian Ink.  A two and a half year old tri colour.  He has the most beautiful expression and eye.  The cleanest of heads, not coarse in any way.  Overall correct shape, with lovely long neck, good angulations and with a good topline which he carries well on the move and has a well muscled second thigh.   Tight oval feet & carrying plenty of bone.  Moved out ok.  However, today he was lacklustre ad reluctant to show which was possibly due to change of handler.  Presented in good order, a worthy Champion and as he matures they will be much more to come from him.  RCC.

Veteran Dog
1st Trundley’s   World  Blamorder Back to the Future.  
Eight year old Champion Blue merle dog of good colour who carries more weight nowadays and looks all the better for it, he has improved with age.  Moved well.    Worthy Best Veteran.

Puppy Bitch

1st  Trundley & Palmer’s Nuuk Saarskali Bila Kaifa  (Imp CZ)

I see from the catalogue this nine month old is an Import but from British breeding which I have since looked up and knew immediately why she appealed to me.  Attractive Tri with pleasing expression, well rounded muzzle, enough stop for age with the flattest of backskull.  Her eye is of good placement and dark but is slightly round.  Plenty of heartroom, well built shoulders and correct length of back with slight rise over loin and good tailset with tail reaching well beyond her hocks.  If she loses a little puppy fat & once she settles to the job in hand should have a bright future, pleased to award her Best Puppy.

Junior Bitch
1st Naull’s  Wynele Cover Girl. 
Precocious sable & white of almost 16 months old.  She is so beautifully balanced throughout.  She has a well rounded foreface, plenty of underjaw, with correct stop, wedge shaped with no flaring through her cheeks whatsoever.  She has an almond shaped eye, good stop with ears bang on top giving a soft expression.  Good front assembly, nice depth of chest and good topline which she held on the move, keeping her tail low.  Her movement is a joy to watch which is her forte as she has such good extension and moved true each time she was asked to do so.   She is in hard condition and could do a day’s work.   I have seen her show better and she gave her replacement handler a hard time while standing, however I don’t need a showing fool and she did enough for me, delighted to award her the CC, her third I believe.

Post Graduate Bitch
1st  Benton’s Brackenhaye Queen of Hearts Of Oakestelle.  Tri of decent type.  Beautiful dark eye, well placed ears giving nice expression.  She has a good length of neck.  Slightly straight in front angualtion which affects her movement.   She is in proportion with firm topline.   I would just like a little more of her.  Moved ok, showed well as always from this handler. 

Limit Bitch
1st  Howard’s  Brackenhaye Heartbreaker at Shandlmain
Tri colour of very attractive shape.  Feminine, balanced head with correct planes, ears good and well set.    Her eye is dark of good shape and correctly placed.  She is well built with plenty of chest, her height to length ratio spot on, strong ribbing and angulations very correct.   Carried her topline well but could do with losing a few pounds before it starts to affect her movement. In the challenge she kept pulling herself together looking alert and gazed across the ring showing herself off , each time she did so there was nothing to dislike about her.  I am sure handler would get more out of this bitch if she did less placing her and made more of a fuss of her in the ring so both relax, sensible judges don’t need a showing fool if the quality is there and I feel she is one who could reach the upper house with a little work.  Pleased to award her the RCC.  Upon looking in the catalogue at home, I see she is half sister to my CC winner; the Sire certainly seems to be putting his stamp on his offspring.                                                                                                                                     
2nd Sweeney’s  Blamorder Do Quite Nicely. 
Favourite of mine.  Elegant, well broken blue merle of good colour.  Balanced in head with nice eye and ears well placed.  In excellent coat and condition.  Quality bitch who moved and showed well.  Unlucky to meet winner.

Open Bitch

1st Lusty, Williams & Hutchins.    Blamorder Ice Cream Dream. 
Well made blue merle which is well broken but dark in colour.  Nice expression with Dark eye, slight perceptible stop, good backskull and ears used well although they are a little light. Good length of neck, well set into correct shoulders with a good topline.  Had a matronly look about her today. She moves out well but was wide behind and very proud of her tail. 
2nd  Beeney’s.   Breckenhaye When We Dance. 
Thought she would be my winner when entering the ring.  Tri of overall good shape, though slightly straight in shoulder.  Nice expression with good ear carriage, fuller in eye than I prefer.   Very well angulated, behind with good length of back leading to good croup with long well set tail.   Just didn’t seem happy today.  Moved ok.
