MIDLAND COLLIE CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW – 7TH AUGUST 2021

SPECIAL AWARDS CLASSES

Firstly I would like to thank the officers and committee of Midland Collie for inviting me to judge the Special Award classes, and also a special thank you to Hannah Walder for the Lunch Box which was delicious, such a shame it decided to rain when I was judging, but we carried in regardless in true British fashion.

Special Awards Junior (2 Entries)
1ST – Blakes Corydon Krug
2ND – Blakes Corydon Belle Epoque.

Litter brother & sister, both enjoying their day out, similar comment apply to both.
They are both very well balanced with a lovely eye and expression, head still needs to develop, which is not surprising as they are only 6 months old, good length of neck, both very well presented, and they both moved well, the male just pipped his sister by having a little more confidence, I’m sure that they both will have good futures ahead of them.

Special Awards Post Graduate (7 entries/2 absent)
1ST – Daleys Rahlissa Charmaine with Melayla
4 year old sable & white bitch, very feminine, lovely head and expression, flat skull, well placed stop, ears of the correct size, which she used well, good length of neck and back, presented in good coat and condition, moved with ease, which won her the class.
2ND – Cronks Chelborn That’ll Do
2 year old tricolour male in very good coat, well moulded head, good eye, a little reluctant to use his ears, but when he did he gave a sweet yet masculine expression, lovely reach of neck, well muscled, just lost out on movement to the bitch.
3RD – Williams Essanjay Scarlet Ribbons.

Special Awards Open (8 entries/ 2 absent)
1ST – Blucks Salsina Sharing Secrets
3 year old golden sable and white bitch, presented in excellent coat and condition, very feminine head and a sweet expression, used her ears well, lovely length of neck, good depth of rib, moved with plenty of drive which won her the class.
2ND – Cooneys Jopium Danny Boy at Lingwell
4 year old shaded sable and white male, another who was well presented, masculine head, al little lazy with using his ears today, but when he did he gave the desired expression, well muscled, with a strong neck and a deep chest, his movement today was a little sluggish, but this could be due to the change of handler.
3RD – Shipps No More Heroes de Sea-wind JW.
