I would like to thank the officers and committee for inviting me to judge this well run show, and of course my steward on the day who battled the wind to keep the paperwork from blowing into the next county. Not the best day for long coated breeds and tipped ears! All dogs had correct dentition and presented in clean condition. Thank you to all exhibitors for giving me the opportunity to go over your dogs.
ROUGH COLLIE P (1) 1 White Mejola Main Event. Exactly 12 months on the day, sable and white bitch that was ultra-feminine and a real showgirl. Lovely shape and outline. Such a sweet expression – well moulded foreface, flat back skull, correctly placed dark eye, topped off with great ears that she used to her advantage. Good substance (depth of chest/spring of rib) and well-off for bone, angulations were balanced with good turn of stifle and short below the hock. Seeing her move around the ring with forward reach and rear drive reinforced that she was so well put together and keeping a steady topline as she went. Happy to award her BOB and BP
J (1) 1 White Phreelancer Phederal Agent at Mejola. Just out of puppy this tri dog of 12 months has a good outline showing substance, balanced angulations front and rear without any exaggerations. Pleasing head that handled well however I would prefer a better eye that would give a sweeter expression. Moved out well holding his topline. Shown and presented in good order; however today in the sun his coat colour was not at its best.
PG (1) 1 Scott Whatacoo The One and Only with Aneish. 4 year old tri dog presented in a gleaming correctly textured jacket, that fitted his outline. Has a well made balanced head with flat backskull with correctly placed stop. Eyes and ears were well set resulting in a pleasant expression. Good shoulder and rear angulations. Could not match his older kennelmate on movement today.
O (3,1) 1 Scott Aneish Touch of Black. 8 1/2 years young tri gentleman still very much enjoying his time in the ring. Pleasing head with correct stop and well placed dark eye. Well made body with good bone and feet. Balanced angulations which he used to his advantage – and even without his usual handler for BOB he showed the younger dogs how to cover the ground with ease. Pleased to award RBOB 2 White Mejola Main Attraction. Very pretty 4 year old sable and white. Well moulded and finished head with correct stop and almond shaped dark eyes giving that desired sweet expression. She has good overall length of body, and she was in balance with a nicely arched neck and balanced front and rear angulations with a rise over her loins. However you need to get in with hands to discover this, as she is carrying a huge fluffy coat. Did not quite get it together on the move today.
