LANCASHIRE & CHESHIRE OPEN SHOW – 16th October 2022

Special Award Classes

Firstly,  can I thank the Officers and Committee of Lancashire and Cheshire for inviting me to judge the Special Award classes, also thank you to the exhibitors for their entries.

Special Award Junior - (4 entries/2 absent)

1st – Vogans Luminous Moon over Lenosann, Blue Merle dog, 13 months, he is well made, but doesn’t need to grow any bigger, coat of good colour, just growing his new jacket, and well presented. There is a lot to like, good head and eye, flat skull, ears used well, neck of good length, leading to well laid shoulders, deep chest, and well ribbed, moved as his construction suggests, one who should have a bright future ahead of him.  Good luck.
2nd – Roses Beldones Clementine, Sable & White bitch, just 8 months, a little unsure of her surroundings today, and not happy with the floor, so didn’t move as positively as 1, sweet eye and expression, in good coat, which was well presented, still needs to mature in head, reasonable neck, good shoulder placement, just needs time to mature.

Special Awards Post Graduate – (7 entries/2 absent)

1st – Mellishs Demelewis Double Take, Tricolour bitch, 20 months, this girl has a beautiful shape, well balanced throughout, clean head, good eyes of correct shape and placement, giving an intelligent expression, ears used to her advantage, superb reach of neck leading to good shoulders, coat of good colour and texture, groomed well, strong hocks, effortless movement, easily the best mover of this class, another who is sure to have a bright future.
2nd - Steven Cambrogan Blowin A Hoolie, Sable & White bitch, 4 years, full of personality, standing well on a loose lead, lovely head and eye, giving a sweet expression, ears used well, neck of good length, leading to well placed shoulders, good depth of rib, coat immaculately presented, although she has just started to change her wardrobe, moved well, can be a little happy with her tail.
3rd – Roses Uffspring Ultravox.

Special Award Open – (11 entries/ 4 absent)

1st – Allsopps Aqualita It’s a Miracle, Tricolour dog, 3 years, who I have watched mature, good head, flat skull, correct eye, ears used well, good length of neck, deep chest & ribs, shoulders well placed, good length of back, strong hocks, coat of good black colour, with deep tan markings, very well presented, not a hair out of place, showed well on a loose lead, moved with plenty of drive, it was so lovely to see how he has come on and finally getting his act together at long last.  Lovely boy, who will go from strength to strength, I will watch his future with interest.
2nd Jones Brooklynson Black Diamond with Dancol, Tricolour dog, 4 years, head of good propertions, flat skull, ears well set, eyes of correct shape, giving the desired expression, neck of good length, shoulders well laid, back of the correct length, coat of good colour and texture and well presented, another who knew how to move.
3rd – Steven Cariadhaf Crazy Dream.
