Open Show Sunday 17th July 2022

I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge at this well-run friendly show I really enjoyed the day and thanks to my Stewards for all their help. Even though it was a hot day, we had a breeze and shade from the trees that the rings were placed near.

Rough Collies

Class 30 - Junior

1st Mrs S Hawkins – Breckamore Welsh Honey for Brilyn (B)

12 month old s/w bitch very feminine head: lovely full muzzle, correct stop, beautiful almond shaped eyes giving sweet expression and flat skull. Could have more underjaw. Long length of neck, good spring of ribs. Front and rear of good angulation. Length of body in proportion and great long tail with beautiful big white tip. ( A little more mature than 2nd Place)

2nd Mrs S Flower – Serenlas Pumpkin Spice (B) BP and PG2

Lovely 9 month old s/w puppy. Good wedged shape head with almond shaped eyes well used ear and very flat skull to give lovely expression. Strong arched neck going into well laid shoulders, good depth of chest for age and spring of ribs. Nice angulation front and rear, good rise over loin and lovely long tail. Moves well.

Class 31 Post Grad

1st Mrs S Flower – Serenlas Pagans Moon (B)

Lovely Tri bitch of balanced proportion using her ears well. Beautiful arched neck following into well laid shoulders, good angulation front and rear moving harmoniously around the ring. Correct length of body and slight rise over loin and lovely length of tail with great white tip.

2nd Mrs S Hawkin – Breckamore Welsh Honey for Brilyn

Class 32 Open

1st Mr J N and Mrs V Geddes – Ingledene Fantasy of Blu (D) BOB

3yrs 9 months old blue merle male which has a classic wedged shape head with full muzzle with lovely almond shaped eyes and good ear when he used them. Strong arched neck of moderate length going into good lay of shoulder, firm top line, good bone and angulation with slight rise of loin; giving good strong outline appearance and movement.

2nd Mr S G and Mrs J Williams – Essanjay Dark Moon Rising (D)

9 year old Handsome tri boy in black coat with lovely rich tan markings and doesn’t look his age. Slightly bigger than 1st. Kept in great condition a credit to his owners. Lovely strong male head following into solid long neck and good length of body, leveled top line, good spring of rib. Moved well.
