BEST IN SHOW AWARDS

I was thrilled to be asked to judge the best in show awards for the Collie Club of Wales, held alongside
the WKC show. A long but very enjoyable day.
I would like to thank the three breed judges who sent through some wonderful exhibits for me to choose
between.
I awarded B.I.S. to Sweeney & Lusty’s B/M Smooth collie, BLAMORDER DO QUITE NICELY. What a
quality bitch who at 4yrs is just coming into her own. Gentle expression coming from a kind eye that’s
correctly placed, feminine moulding, correct stop and well used ears. Front and rear body angulations of
equal proportions giving perfect balance. She moved so true and with drive.
The B/M dog ALFSDEN HE LIVES IN YOU was unlucky to come up against her today. A lovely boy with
much promise he was really flagging at the end of the day today but did enough to be awarded
B.O.S.I.S.
R.B.I.S & B.V.I.S. Lusty’s CH. BLAMORDER ICE CREAM DREAM. I have made no secret how much I
love this B/M bitch. Now a veteran but not showing an inch of it! She is in my eyes everything the
standard calls for. Finding out after that’s she’s the dam of my B.I.S. was the icing on the cake.
B.P.I.S. This was a very close challenge between two top notch puppies. For the roughs it was Cronk’s
SKABONA IF I SAW YOU IN HEAVEN FOR CHELBORN (IMP SWE) and for the smooths it was
BALMORDER MAKERS MARK. I’m sure they both have bright futures. The award went to the fabulous
little show off b/m Rough bitch of 7mths of age. She was showing her little socks off with that look at me
attitude. Head is well balanced with good ear carriage. Equally balanced in body, everything you would
want from a baby of this age. This was all topped off with a well presented, beautifully coloured blue
jacket. Moved with drive and purpose. Could easily take her home.
