Rough Collie Dogs 75/96

Thank you to the Kennel Club asking me to judge Crufts, such an honour & to me the World`s Greatest Dog Show, this year is their 150yr anniversary. Many thanks to my stewards Rob & Margaret Shipp.
A lovely entry with a few variations of breed type, nice to go over so many dogs I hadn’t seen before. Thanks to the exhibitors for braving the awful weather & the long walk in, pleased to say all exhibits were beautifully presented & groomed, unfortunately tho, a few still have dirty teeth which is a shame. Temperaments were excellent.

Open dog in particular was a super class, with a good depth of quality so was splitting hairs.

1 st Congdons Ch/fr Ch Jugband Blues du clos de Seawind via Aaronwell (impfr)
Gave this dog a CC in 2019, 8yr old blue merle of lovely colour & shape, just enough coat, well muscled & good bone & angulation, doesn’t always want to show his ears but when he does he has a lovely expression, correctly placed dark eye & stop. Moved out well with good tail carriage.
2 nd Collinos Wicani Altidude at Imaginist 8yr old Tricolour of good colour, heavier all round type, well up for size. So has excellent bone & substance moved well

1 st Lockyers Gataj Turn Back Time 9mth old golden sable well presented & put together adequate bone & coat, good lay of shoulder, & good hind quarters lovely eye & expression, super temperament free mover.
2 nd Walls Daliyhaa Master Craftman 11mth old tricolour good bone & feet, good shoulder, used his ears, skull needs to flatten so preferred head &expression of 1 st . moved well.

1 st Endres Takhisis Tom Thumb 1yr old sable enough coat &length of body ,giving a lovely outline good shoulder placement, & hindquarters, moulded muzzle, flat skull, good ear carriage & lovely eye. moved out well keeping topline
2 nd Lockyers Very Special Angel Silvestre at Gataj (imp Bel) 11mth old sable puppy in lovely coat, good shoulder & hindquarters, pleasing head pattern rounded muzzle, medium dark eye & well used ears, enough stop, moved very well.

1 st Zasun Dare to love Actis Poland nearly 2year old rich sable, making a good overall picture. good shoulder front & hindquarters, everything in balance, length of back, flat skull, good eye & underjaw good ear set, excellent tail carriage & mover.
2 nd Hogg Lillyway Lemon & Lime nearly 2year old tri, of good colour, slightly shorter all over than the 1 st . above but has good head properties having a well filled muzzle, enough stop, altho slow using his ears had pleasing expression when he did so, would benefit from losing a couple of pounds but moved well.

1 st Hawkins & Foy Beldones Rocket Man 2yr old well balanced sable dog in good condition & coat, lovely shape good shoulder & front head handles well, correct placed dark eye, stop & ears, pleasing expression. Has good bone & feet. Excellent mover & tail carriage. Pushed hard for top honours.
2 nd Blaike Kourika You’ll Do For Me 18mth old lovely coloured tri, has length of back, good
hindquarters, pleasing head rounded muzzle, correct stop & eye, well placed ears, moved out well

1 st Proctor Wilmaranna Out of the Blue for Cathbri 2 yr old blue dog of good size & shape, enough coat, head handles well, rounded muzzle used his ears. Moved well
2 nd Roberts Barrenclough Diamond Moon 4yr old sable dog of good body shape adequate bone, slightly finer in head than above but has correct stop & placed eye moved well.

1 st Fuller Hanvale Arthur Shelby with Damos 4 yr old sable soundly constructed, just enough coat & substance. good ear set, lovely dark eye & enough stop, loves to stand & show, no exaggerations good topline on the move
2 nd Hawkins & Foy Beldones Toucher Du Bois 2yr old sable in lovely condition & coat, good conformation, shoulder & front. Lovely sweet obliquely set eye & correct stop, rounded muzzle & moved out well correct tail carriage.

1 st & CC. Scott Ch.Magical Moon of Lowlands Green Valley for Chantique (imp Fr )
Gave this dog a RCC in 2019, 7yr. old Sable up to size, well balanced, has enough good textured coat, excellent shoulder & front, good hindquarters, bone & feet, head handles well, rounded muzzle, good stop, correctly placed dark eye, has the desired sweet expression when he used his ears, moved well keeping his topline & gives an elegant outline. Very pleased to award him the CC. from a super lineup.
2 nd and RCC McCann Ch. Oakland Blue Style du clos de Seawind at Zolkan (imp Fr) 5yr old blue of beautiful colour, in excellent condition, well balanced all over, altho a tad smaller all round than my first, but no denying his quality, has good angles & bone, lovely head well filled muzzle, good stop, obliquely set dark eye, melting expression, another excellent mover with good tail carriage.
