Here are my Smooth Collie Critique's for The EACA ASSOCIATION open show on the 6th August 2023. You can find my opening paragraph with the Rough Collie Critiques. Once again many thanks for your entries with your lovely dogs.


Puppy Dog/Bitch : 1
1st Sewell’s Wynele Strike it Rich To Lewarne. 9 month old Tri male shown in lovely condition. He has a lovely clean head, good fill of muzzle and a good under jaw. Ears are well placed and well tipped. Well placed obliquely set eyes of almond shape. He has a good length of neck with a good top line and a slight rise over the loin. He is good for bone and substance, good front and rear angulations. His tail is a good length. Lovely on the move. BPIB


Yearling Dog/Bitch : 2 (1A)
1st Wensleys Constella Hazy Cosmic Jive JW. 23 month old Tri male also shown in good condition. Lovely clean head with a well moulded fore face and a lovely flat skull. Ears are correctly placed and well tipped. He has a lovely length of neck and a good top line. I found this boy slightly on the finer side but he has a nice shape and good body length. He has good angulations, tail is a good length. Moved well. RBOB BOS


Post Graduate Dog/Bitch : 6 (2a)
1st Trundleys Nuuk  Saarskali Bila Kaifeng Juniperwood (imp cz) Naf. 2 year old Tri Bitch who was well balanced. Clean wedge shaped head with a lovely flat skull. Lovely almond shaped eyes. Her ears are well tipped but slightly set wider apart. She has a good length of neck with a good top line. Her front and rear angulations are good and she is good for substance. She has a good length of tail and she moved well.


2nd  Bemelmans Moseliqa Proud Foot. 1 1/2 year old Tri male. Well balanced and shown in good condition. Lovely clean head with a well rounded muzzle. Eyes and ears are well placed. Good length of neck sweeping into a good top line and showing a good body length. Front and rear angulations are good. Tail length is good and he moved well.


Limit Dog/Bitch: 5 (3a)
1st Benton’s Oakestelle Artemis shcex. 6 year old Blue Bitch shown in lovely condition. She is a feminine girl who is well balanced with a good body length. Her head is clean with dark almond shaped eyes and a lovely flat skull but I would just prefer a little more fill to her muzzle. Ears are well placed and correctly tipped. She has a good top line and a good depth of chest. A super length of neck and a slight rise over the loin. Her angulations are good both front and rear and her tail is a good length. She has a good stride while moving and is light on her feet. She is very attentive to her handler. A real show girl.


2nd Bemelmans Oakestelle Asteria. 6 year old Tri Bitch who is litter sister to 1st. Another well balanced Bitch with a good body length. Her head is clean with a lovely flat skull but I found her eyes a little more round than almond shaped. She has a good length of neck, a good top line with good front and rear angulations. Good length of tail. Like her sister she is also light on her feet and forward going. Another lovely show girl.


Open Dog: 1
1st Smiths Uk Port ESP Gib Ch Winter is Coming To Tentola Re (imp) 7 year old Masculine Blue Male who is a good size. He has good substance and is good for bone. He is an upstanding male shown in very good condition. He has a lovely masculine head giving a masculine expression. Lovely obliquely set eyes. Lovely flat skull with well placed ears. He has a good strong neck which is a good length. A good body length and a good depth of chest. His angulations are good showing a good turn of stifle. On the move he is steady and forward going. A lovely male. BVIB


Open Bitch : 4 (1a) Benton’s Ch Brackenhaye Queen of Hearts of Oakestelle. 3 year old Tri Bitch shown in lovely condition. She has a lovely clean head with a good fill of muzzle and a lovely flat skull. Her eyes are dark and almond shaped. Ears are well placed and well tipped. She has a good lay of shoulder showing good angulations front and rear. She has a good length of neck with good body substance. Tail length is correct. Her movement was a pleasure to watch and moved like she could do a days work. BOB.


2nd Forbes Willowhurst Vanity. 9 year old Tri Bitch. Another lovely girl shown in good condition. Lovely head which is well moulded. Lovely almond shaped eyes which are obliquely set. Good length of neck sweeping into a good top line. She is good for bone and substance. Good oval shaped feet. Angulations are good. She has the correct length of tail and she moved well.
