Show 2. Smooth Collie

Thank you to the committee of the Smooth Collie Club for inviting me to judge at this well run event . I really enjoyed my day and thank the exhibitors for accepting my decisions so sportingly .

Minor Puppy Dog - no entries

Puppy Dog - 1
Thomas & Lusty - Blamorder Side Hustle With Mournebrake - nicely presented tri-colour of 11 months .Correct wedge head clean through the cheeks . Well placed and used ears , nice eye and expression. Good front angulation and well developed rear for age . Long tail . Moved out well .
Junior Dog -1

Howard , Howard and Fort - Shulune Imperial Inkheart With Casatentola - nearly 18 months blue-merle boy who has matured well since I last judged him as a young puppy . His head is clean with correct parallel planes, enough stop and a flat skull . Good ear carriage , well arched neck and good front with a deep fore chest . Well angulated rear and moved out well . Just a little over exuberant but still carried his tail well .

Metcalf - Koczkodan Well I Never - rather immature tri-colour approaching 2 years . Long , fine head with a pleasing dark eye and well used ears . Needs to mature in body and outlook and calm down when in the ring. Moved OK
Limit -Dog 4
1- Howe - Lizoni The Drifter - 2 year old tri with a nice outline, good angulation fore and aft and good height to length ratio. Good body with depth and a good bend of stifle . Neat hocks and a long tail .
His head is of good type , muzzle well rounded but just a little short of underjaw . Adequate stop and a flat skull . Moved around the ring steadily but could use more drive .
2- Wilson-Brain- Koczkodan Sweet As Honey - 5year old tri . Well schooled and well handled . Head is a good wedge with flat skull, rounded muzzle and good underjaw. Well placed and used ears . Nice outline standing on good legs and feet. Moved OK
3- Rodger's - Blamorder Mischief Maker with Jerdoni

Two very worth Champions

Sewell's - Ch Wynele Strike It Rich to Lewarne JW - two and a half year old tri in fabulous harsh coat and condition. Masculine head with slight stop , good underjaw , well placed and used ears, dark eyes and sweet expression. Good head planes and flat skull.
Head is carried proudly by a strong neck leading to a firm body with good front , correct layback of shoulder and corresponding good upper arm . Good depth of body, well boned legs and feet , good rear angulation and strong hocks .
Moved effortlessly with drive and in profile covered the ground with a light , seemingly effortless stride . BOB and in complete agreement with my Co- judge BIS
Wensley's - Ch Constellation Hazy Cosmic Jive JW - three and a half year old tri-colour - this boy has a slightly lighter frame than 1st but is still very well balanced and proportioned .His head is clean with slight stop, well shaped , sweet dark eyes and good ear carriage . Good arch to neck and level topline with slight rise over the loins . Well angulated front and rear , good depth of body . Coat in harsh condition and jet black . Moved well as his construction suggests RBD
Veteran Dog 1

Smith's- Ch/Multi Ch Winter Is Coming to Tentola - 9 year old blue merle who still enjoys his showing . Good head type with strong neck , correct front and depth of chest . Well angulated with a good bend of stifle . Moved well once into his stride .

Puppy Bitch 3(2)

1- Benton and Bemalmans - Blamorder Double or Quits of Oakestelle - lovely coloured blue merle of 11 months who has matured well since I last judged her as a raw baby . I liked her then and I still do ! Lovely head with a correct stop and correct wedge .Good ear carriage and well shaped eye with a delightful expression. Good neck and shoulder placement, nice front.
Topline is level with slight rise over the loins and good rear angles ,. Moved ok , just a touch over excited . Lovely happy temperament . BP
Junior Bitch 4(2)

Two very nice litter sisters who will change places many times I am sure.
1- Rundle's - Shulune Imperial Bonny Blu - a lovely coloured blue merle who does have a black patch but which does not detract from her overall colour and quality .
Lovely head of good length with everything as it should be at this age . Dark eyes and well used ears give her a delightful expression. Good length to neck and level topline. Well balanced body of good length to height ratio . Well angulated front and rear enabling her to move really well . Just needs to mature on when she should trouble the best RBB
Cole and Fort- Shulune imperial Rum Punch JW - this sister is a nice tri- colour just built on slightly smaller lines to her sibling . Sweet head with a correct stop and moulded muzzle .Good neck and topline and well constructed like her sister . Moved well ,just preferred the extra length and fluidity of stride of the first .

Limit Bitch 4(2)

1- Richardson's - Koczkodan Sweet dreams of Lizoni - mature tri of good type. Correct head with enough stop , good muzzle and underjaw, well placed and used ears and a pleasing expression.
Good depth to body and good rear angulation . Just found her a little straight in front . Topline was good and she moved ok.
2- Rodger's - Blamorder High Brow - tricolour with a nice outline. Front angulation was good but a little straight in stifle . She has a good body, nice bone and moved ok . Just carrying her tail a bit high today .

Open Bitch 2

French's - Int/Bel/Fr/Nld/Lux/Ger Ch Indigo Aura Agree to Disagree with Breckamore - this four year old tri stands out for her lovely neck and outline . She has a good front and nice depth of chest. Strong well muscled body and good bone and substance . Her head is clean with correct stop, flat skull and well used ears . Moved ok , just got a little out of control lifting her tail . I'm sure once she is really settled with her new owner and new home she could well be adding another title to her many already gained .
Benton's Brackenhaye Queen of Hearts of Oakestelle - another worthy champion I have done well in the past .Tricolur of 5 years who has a clean head with well used ears, kind eye and soft expression. Good neck and topline but just felt she was a little heavy in body today . However she still moved well responding to her handler at all times .
Veteran Bitch 5(2)

Flower's - Ch Breckamore Butter Fingers Sh CM ShCEx - 8 year old tri -colour who took my eye immediately for her sheer femininity and overall balance .Lovely head with correct stop, good muzzle and underjaw and melting eye and expression. Well placed and used ears ,flat skull . Good neck and topline and well angulated front and rear. Good depth to body and nice bend of stifle. Calm and collected whenever I looked at her and flowed around the ring with ease . BB ,Res BOB and in complete agreement with my Co judge Res BIS and BVIS
French's - Ch Wynele Alice Blue Gown with Breckamore - another worthy champion of 8 years and of heavier build than 1 but still all in proportion. Her blue colour is good and she has a clean head with correct stop and parallel planes . Arched neck leading to good front and depth of chest. Well angulated rear with good bend of stifle . Moved well
