I would like to thank the club for inviting me to judge Rough Collies at their Breed Club Open Show.    I am especially grateful to all the exhibitors who supported me today and who accepted my placements with good grace.

DOGS
15. Puppy Dog (4.0)
1.Randall & Randall LADNAR CALL MY NAME 8 month well grown Blue Merle of fantastic colour. Head is coming on well although ears are still a little heavy. Stands and shows himself to advantage and eyes never leave his handler. Has a lovely long tail which he carries correctly. Excellent shoulder and topline. Moved well around the ring although a little loose behind. He is in good coat which was beautifully presented and shown and handled to perfection. A boy who will rarely be ignored. BPD
2. Shipp TREMARO SPECIAL AGENT 12 month old Sable and White. In good coat of correct texture, well presented. He has a lovely clean head, correct stop, ear and eye placement contributing to a sweet but masculine expression. Good lay of shoulder and bend of stifle. Unfortunately on the move he was rather unbalanced.

16. Junior Dog (2.0)
1. Walder & Walder ROUGHRIGG THE LIFE OF RILEY AT HANVALE 1year old Sable and white who has a good clean head, nicely placed dark eye, flat back skull and well rounded muzzle. His neck is arched with developing forechest .Good shoulder angulation and well bent stifle. Slightly erratic in movement but did get his act together to move with reach and drive, maintaining his topline. Well presented RBD
2. Randall and Randall LADNAR CALL ME MAYBE  8 month old Blue Merle. Litter brother to my Puppy winner. He has a lovely length of neck and correct shoulder placement. Same lovely coat and colour. His ear set is good and head is developing well. He is of good size. His topline was a little loose on the move. Well presented.

18. Limit Dog (3.1a)
1. Wray-Ramsden TAKHISIS DAGGERS AT DAWN 21 month old Sable and white dog of good ccolour and size. Slightly lacking coat but it was of good texture and beautifully presented. His head is well balanced with sufficient stop, good underjaw, flat back skull and excellent ear set. I would prefer a better shaped eye. He has good angulation front and rear and well proportioned. He powered round the ring with reach and drive , maintaining his topline. Well handled. BD
2.Skinner LADNAR MAKE IT HAPPEN FOR NIKAL 2 year old Blue Merle of excellent colour and in good coat. Head is balanced with good foreface and perceptible stop. Eye of good shape. Ears are slightly low set which spoils his expression and outline. He has good lay of shoulder and bend of stifle. Topline slightly loose. On the move he has a tendency to become unbalanced affecting his forward reach and topline. I hope he will muscle up as he matures and reach his potential. Nicely presented and sympathetically handled.

20. Veteran Dog (1.0)
1. Mills LYNMACK STARMAN AT LEMIVEE 9 year old Sable and white in excellent coat and condition. He has a lovely balanced head and kind expression coming from well placed and used ears and dark almond eyes. Construction is good with well angulated front and rear. Not a big dog but masculine. Well muscled. His movement today was a little lacklustre which was disappointing given his structure.

21. Puppy Bitch (5.0)
1. Hodges JOPIUM FOLLOW MY HEART A most attractive 10 month old Sable and white puppy in abundant harsh coat. Head is well balanced with dark almond shaped eyes and the sweetest of expressions, ears beautifully set on. She is in good proportion for her age . excellent angulation front and rear. She moved around the ring with a free light stride. Immaculately presented and sympathetically handled. BOB BPIS
2. Scott & Scott CHANTIQUE AWAY WI THE FAIRYS Another very pretty Sable and white. 7 months . In abundant coat of good texture which was well presented. She has a good eye shape and well rounded muzzle. Ears are a little erratic at the moment but uses them well and I’m sure they will settle. She moved well around the ring for one so young, and is well proportioned with good angulation.

1. Hodges JOPIUM FOLLOW MY HEART As Puppy
2. Wray-Ramsden TAKHISIS XTRAORDINARY LADY BWJ24 BEL JCH 13 month old tricolour of well balanced construction. She. has good equal angulation front and rear. Her neck is arched and she has a good topline with required slight rise over loin. Head has flat backskull and slight stop. I would like to have seen a better shaped and darker eye. Movement was good and she went round the ring with drive. I preferred the expression of 1.

23. Post Graduate Bitch (2.1a)
1. Mills HANVALE EDINA MONSOON AT LEMIVEE 22 MONTH OLD Sable and white of good construction. Flat backskull, clean through cheeks with well rounded muzzle. Nice almond shaped eye. Reluctant to lift her ears which unfortunately spoiled her expression. She has a well arched strong neck, and is well muscled. Moved well around the ring with reach and drive, maintaining her topline.

24. Limit Bitch (1.0)
1. French BRECKAMORE PITCH BLACK 3 and a half year old Tricolour shown in excellent coat of a lovely jet black and whitest of whites. She is not a big girl but everything is there and in the right place. Of sound construction with balanced head, arched neck and correct topline. Her head is balanced with correct stop and eye shape. She was reluctant to use her ears. She moved really well around the ring as she is well muscled. Pushed hard in the challenge. RBB

25. Open Bitch (1.0)
1. GIB CH SERENLAS ANGEL OF CASATENTOLA  3 year old Tricolour. Well constructed  girl of nice size. Balanced all over, arched neck, well angled ahoulder and return of upper arm. Decent bend of stifle. Good topline with slight rise over loin. Parallel hocks and neat feet. She moved with a light fluid stride maintaining her topline. Most attentive to her handler.

26. Veteran Bitch (4. 1a)
1. Benton CH BROOKLYNSON JANE RUSSELL OF OAKESTELLE 10 and a half year old Sable and white. She is top size but well constructed with good angulation. I would like to see more stop and better shaped eye as this would give her a sweeter expression.  However she excels in movement and strides around the ring with aplomb. She has a long stride and covers the ground at a speed which belies her age. BVIB
2. Skinner SAMHAVEN TIME IS MONEY WITH NIKAL 11 year old Tricolour bitch that I have judged before.  In standing she still maintains the elegant outline of her youth and has a pretty well balanced head and expression. She stands and shows like the veteran she is. Moved around the ring today with the dignity of her years, and enjoyed her day. Sympathetically handled.
