Collielife

Sambreeze Rough Collies

I purchased my first Rough Collie, a tricolour, back in 1983 and decided to show him. I bought a copy of the Foyles Rough Collie book and practised the triangle and up-and-down moves with my Collie puppy, and I soon got the showing bug. We did not have instant success, as entries were often in the forties even at open shows, but we served a long apprenticeship and gradually made progress.

I lost my breeding line because of fading puppy syndrome and was grateful to be offered the lovely Lynmead Trace of Lace at Sambreeze, bred by Caz Waterhouse, to start again. Since then, I have also owned three more gorgeous bitches from this kennel.

My dogs are all health screened and hip scored. They take part in various canine activities as well as showing. They all live in my home as family pets and stay with me until they pass away.
