We were on holiday in Belgium and Amy needed to have tick and worm treatment before we could return to the UK for her Pet Passport. I saw the Belgium Golden Trophy Dog show was on and that she could get it done there. I entered her and to my amazement she won the Open Bitch class, CAC & CACIB & BOB under judge Mr Andrew Brace and represented the breed in the Group. I went back to see if we could win her Belgium Title. Amy went on to win RES CAC & RES CACIB at the Euro Dog Show at Kortrijk under Judge Mr Paul Battingan (Ireland), CAC & CACIB & BOS at Mouscron under Madame S Roser (France), CAC & CACIB at Charleroi Judge Mr John Brixe (Belgium) and finally gained her title at the Collie Association Belgium show from Judge Ms Karen McDivitt (Ireland). My first Rough Collie Champion after many years of showing. Amy won many Best Puppy and Bests of Breeds and Group placings at Open Shows. She was placed 2nd in her class at Crufts under Judge Mrs Christine Collins (Triburle). Amy was Joint winner of the Frank Mitchel Memorial Award at the London Collie Club.
Amy was a Pets As Therapy dog. She gained the Copper, Bronze & Silver Versatility Awards & was the winner of RSCTA Rough Collie Breed League. She passed the Kennel Club Good Citizen Puppy Foundation, Bronze, Silver & Gold Awards. Amy loved agility. |

I always wanted a tri colour bitch. I was very excited when I saw a tri puppy coming in the breech position and it was a bitch. Sooty was never leaving home! She was such a loveable girl and always smiling.
Sooty won some Best Puppy awards and qualified for Crufts. She gained her Kennel Club Stud Book Number under judge Mrs Doreen Clarke.
Sooty was never parted from her daughter Sherry. When Sherry died before her mum. Sooty became very depressed so I decided to take her to do the Kennel Club Good Citizen Awards and she passed Bronze, Silver & Gold at the age of 12 and 13 years. At the same time Sooty also achieved the RSCTA Copper, Bronze &, Silver Versatility Awards. It was great fun and quality time with Sooty during her twilight years.
