Breed Notes 23rd June 2023

Good to see Terry McGowan back on his feet and in in the ring at Border Union. Held in its usual home, with good weather, at the end of judging we can now
add new Champions, number 4 and 5 to our Upper House! Terry has the Westoak affix and last judged at Leeds in 2019 as a replacement for the late Barry Makepeace and prior to that it was at N&D in 2014 where he judged bitches and back in 2005 also at N&D.

Today, Fosse data issued entry figures, prior to the show of 22 dogs and 35 bitches but actually present in the ring were just 19 males and 29 bitches who
attended. About 10.45am, taking his 3 rd UK CC was the well known tricolour Paulara No Where Man, technically owned by Charlene Turner but as we know, always handled by Louis. His 1 st CC came at WECS 2022 from Gee McEntee and his 2 nd from Val Brown at Lancs & Cheshire earlier this year. Born in February 2020, he is sired by Monsolana Bounty Taste for Aaronwell out of the re-imported Camanna Cocomotion and he won from Limit.

Other class winners included, Jo Hodges and Jopium Love on The Rocks who won both MP and Novice; Chantique Abracadabra stood alone in PD for Andre &
Chantal as did Gataj Turn Back Time in Junior for Melissa Lockyer; Wilma Brodie won Yearling with her Shanaburn Country Road; Millubie Va Va Voom and
Millubie Razzmatazz were both alone in their Graduate and PG classes for Tracy Brightmore and handled by Debbie Finney. Melissa won Open with her multi cc
winning Ch Gataj Struck By Lightning and there were no Veterans entered.

The RCC must have been a great boost to Wilma Brodie and her sable boy, Shanaburn Country Road, bred by Wilma it is an interesting pedigree as there a
hardly any UK bred dogs appearing, although his sire, Norska de Remember our Love for Starlenga now is in Scotland with the Walker family and has been show
here. His dam, Quintessa Sofia My Golden Love & Victory at Shanaburn is bred mainly on “des Amazones” lines and he was born 27 th August 2021.
It was not long before I received a happy message from Odile and Brian, confirming that their Beldones Looks Like Fun, a shaded sable bitch has achieved
her 3 rd CC. Her previous cc’s were won at British in 2022 from Tracy Jackson (Sassari), her 2 nd at Irish Collie from Morag McCarte and a rcc from Sophie
Wray-Ramsden in 2022 at Blackpool and another from Barrie Croft at the recent SKC. She is sired by Ch Beldones Black Illusion out of Ch Beldones Fit For Fun
and was born July 2017. Taking the RBCC was the recent CC winner from London Collie, Chantique Déjà Vu, who won Limit.

Veteran bitch, was another stand alone win for Telforth Sweet Dreams to Corisian, handled by Jo Brooker and owned by Pat, Jo and Emma. Other class winners included; MP and Gataj All That Sparkles for Melissa, Wilma Brodie and her Starlenga All For It won Puppy; Rob & Margaret Shipp won Juniorwith Tremaro Kind of Magic. Scotiablue Black Nola, in the ownership of Mr A Maine won Novice. Morag & Jim McCarte won Graduate with Roughrigg One of A Kind and Debbie Finney handled her own Millubie Rewind to win PG.

In the challenge for BOB, this went to the tricolour dog. Best Puppy went to Wilma Brodie and Starlenga All For It who won BPB and Best Veteran was Telforth Sweet Dreams to Corisian JW. Groups were to be judged by Rod Oldham (Adult); Puppy by Jonothan Daltry (Bananadane) and Veteran by Sandra Marshall although I saw the adult group and nothing from the remainder, I have to report no success for anyone!

NB - edit after I had submitted these notes I had a message from the Brookers who confirmed that 'Telforth sweet Dreams to Corisian JW was shortlisted in the veteran group under Mrs Sandra Marshall, Dreamy is 10 years old next month
