A very busy Sunday was undertaken by the Committee of EACA, as at Littleport Leisure Centre, they held 2 Open shows………no mean task considering the entry received for both shows was vey similar with 71 entered at Show  and 69 for show 2, with many exhibitors making a day of showing and had entered both shows, some classes had very similar results and others was down to the selection of the judges involved.
Held outside, apart from when the wind blew, when the sun arrived, many arrived back home with minor sun-tans!

At Show 1,  both Roughs and Smooths were judged by Di Collino (Imaginist) with SAC classes for Committee member, Cathy Cooper (Kelekona). Show 2 had Marion Withers (Stanydale), who is actually the EACA Health Rep, for Roughs and Smooths, but no SAC classes were scheduled.

At Show 1, Roughs were first to be judged, and at Show 2, the Smooths were first in the ring and to avoid clashes in either breed or exhibitors, the Show Secretary spent much of the day, not only showing her own entries but keeping everything running smoothly as actual Secretary, Miranda, although present, was confined to much lesser duties due to the injury to her ankle/leg and sported a very becoming hospital cast!

Now to the results, Di Collino chose for the Best Dog, Afterglow Invocation in the ownership of Angela and Keith Harvey but as Angela is unable to attend shows at the moment, as she is waiting for surgery, Heidi Gallagher offered to take him for her. Reserve Best Dog was the well-known Veteran Winner, Ch Brooklynson El Dorado, ShCex for Marianne Benton. Best Puppy Dog was Mejola Top Gun for Jo White and he was also Best MPD. Other class winners included: Sassari Mister Starman for Tracy Jackson; Ladnar Makemeawinner for Dave & Sue; Luminous Moon Over Lenosann for Dee and Samantha Vogan and Aqualita It’s A Miracle for Derek, Hazel and Isobelle Allsopp.

In bitches, taking BB was Ladnar Izadorable for Dave & Sue Randall. RBB was Gina & Peter Stillwell and Wicani That’s Amore with Bellawave, who is a daughter of her BD,  who was also BPB. Bellawave Caught in a Dream won Veteran for Peter and Gina; Mejola The Special One with Jards won for Janine Hanson; Vanessa Cronk and Skabona If I Saw you In Heaven took Junior; Although beaten in a previous class, Siluto Blueberry Mist and Gill Whittaker won Yearling; Denis Beardsworth handled his Maysinder Sapphire Reign to win PG and Open went to partners, Marion Radford-House and Mrs F Durrant with Ingledene Midnight Skye with Fivejays who won Open.

BOB went to Afterglow Invocation, Reserve BOB to Ch Brooklynson El Dorado, Best Opposite Sex was Ladnar Izadorable and BPIB to Wicani That’s Amore with Bellawave. So, this lovely win was a great tonic for Angela and although Rune, as he is known at home was entered at both shows, Heidi chose only to show him at the 1st of the 2 shows and then travel back home with the good news.

The winners of the SAC classes, judged by Cathy Cooper were: Wicani That’s Amore with Bellawave (Puppy); Luminous Moon Over Lenosann (PG) and Ch Brooklynson Jayne Russell of Oakestelle who won Open.

At show 2, where Marion was judging, her choice for BD was the Veteran gentleman, Pedro, Ch Brooklynson El Dorado. RBD was Takhisis Daggers at Dawn for Sophie Wray-Ramsden  who was also BPD. Other male class winners were: Mejola Top Gun who was also BMPD for Jo White; Ladnar Makeithappen for Nikal and Shelley Skinner won Junior; Riverside Song Unbelievable Guy at Stavods won Yearling for Susan Clark; Chelborn Gambling List and Vanessa won PG and Tina May and her Camanna Careerchanging for Maqueeba won Limit and Aqualita It’s A Miracle won Open for Hazel, Derek and Isobelle.

Now to the Ladies and Marion’s choice for BB was Ladnar Izadorable, repeating her success of Show 1and in reserve, the winner of Open, Takhisis Lady of Illusions and Sophie who had only entered show 2. Winning Veteran was Peter & Gina with Bellawave Caught In A Dream, Janine repeated her win in MP with Mejola The Special One with Jards, whilst Hanvale Patsy Stone won Puppy for Simon and Hannah Walder. Junior saw Vanessa and her blue girl winning again as did Gill Whittaker who having been 2nd in her previous class, won Yearling and Denis Beardsworth also repeated his win in PG.

BB went to Dave & Sue with Ladnar Izadorable, Takhisis Lady of Illusions took RBB for Sophie; BPB went to Simon and Hannah; Best MPB was Janine Hanson and Best Veteran to Gina and Peter.

Now BOB at Show 2 was Dave & Sue Randall, Reserve BOB to Marianne & Pedro who was also BOSIB; Sophie took BPIB with Takhisis Daggers at Dawn. BMPIB was Mejola Top Gun
