Working & Pastoral Breeds of Wales, a sub-group Championship show no longer has a CC allocation for Roughs and this showed in the entry even though Simon Burton (basically a smooth orientated judge) was appointed.

There were just 3 males entered along with the stated entry of 9 females, just 8 were on show and Collies, with No CC’s waited until both Corgi Cardigan and Pembroke Corgis completed before judging commenced

Taking BD from Open, was Eleri Bluck and Phreelancer Chill Phactor for Elshajo and in reserve was the Takhisis Daggers at Dawn for Sophie Wray-Ramsden.

BB was Val Geddes with Ingledene Lace & Grace, co-owned with husband John and in reserve was Maysinder Sapphire Reign, who at last week’s show she was credited as being handled by Denis Beardsworth, when, in fact, due to a nasty chest infection, Denis sat ringside and watched as  she was handled by wife Mary and moved by Nigel Whittaker.
Taking BPIB, Serenlas Truly Scrumptious, following on from a recent good win at Llanelli & District CS where she was alone but took BOB & BPIB from Caroline Friend-Rees and completed her first day out showing with PG3 from Geoff Duffield, and today took BPIB again for breeder / owner Stefani Flower.

Although both BOB & BPIB represented us in both groups, neither Mark James not Steve Hall included them in their short-lists.

Finally, should anyone be trying to contact Chris Slater, of Collie Rescue, I understand she recently had a fall, and has a spell in hospital with a possible broken hip, so please be understanding. Whilst on the subject of Collie Rescue, it was very interesting to see the recent Balance Sheet issued following their last AGM. As we are aware, Collie Rescue Rough and Smooth, is a registered charity and as such caters for collies within the UK – Their Charity Number is 1001703 and at the end of their last financial year held a sum of  £227,970.86 which is good to be aware of should any collie need help.
