News in from Jo Hodges and her Jopium Follow My Heart, known as Tilly, and she is well on her way to collecting, or may be already has collected her JW points as she gained a few more at Perthshire CC where Bill Armstrong (Cornstalk) judged and came home with BOB/BPIB/PPG1 and PPG3.

The next day, Lancs & Cheshire held their Ch show at Thomson House Equestrian Centre where both roughs and smooths have a CC allocation
Secretary for L&C, Ray Wilkinson, along with other committee members had selected the following to judge: Rough Dogs, Louise Walker (Starlenga); Marina McLaughlin (Brihow) for the ladies. Smooths were judged by Chairman Bill Rogerson, (Orchardby) on, I think his first appointment for Smooths. BIS and Referee was Steve Barrett (Brooklynson).
Although I have not yet received a marked catalogue for the day, the entry for all was as follows: 33 males, 54 ladies and 33 smooths, which was slightly down on previous years.
Louise started the day off and this was her 3rd appointment having previously judged at both WECS and N&D single sexes. Her choice for the CC was Clovis, better known as Beldones Ivory Star annexing his 2nd CC, the first being won at BCC earlier this year and he won from Junior. Winning another RCC from Louise was Anne Hassock and Camanna Cell Mate who won at N&D on Louise’s previous appointment. BPIB was Ladnar Call My Name for Dave & Sue Randall. BVD was another nice win for Alex Mills and Lynmack Starman at Lemivee.
Marina, who last judged at Richmond in 2019 both sexes and prior to that her first appointment was at CCW. Her choice for the CC was a crowning award for John Congdon’s Riverside Song Desiderata at Aaronwell(Imp Rom) who repeated her 2024 CC win here at L&C. Handled by Sue Hawkins, who also let me know of this win, she is a sable who won her CC’s at Scottish Breeds from Bill Rogerson and her 2nd from Jim McCarte here, last year. Winning Limit was the blue belonging to Jayne Llewellyn, Starlenga Nina Simone, who, at the end of the day met up again with her previous owners/breeder, Louise and Margo Walker and a joyful re-union followed. BPB was the tri, Beldones Shanghai Surprise for Brian and Odile. BVIB, and making a little bit of history was Telforth Sweet Dreams to Corisian for Jo Brooker as she has won this same award for 3 consecutive years – well done
BOB Rough was the newly crowned sable bitch, BPIB to Ladnar Call My Name and BVIB to Dreamy.
Steve Barrett’s choice for BIS was Nick and Anne Smith with the smooth, Ch Winter Is Coming to Tentola who also took BVIS. The rough bitch went RBIS, and also the rough blue puppy took BPIS.
