Saturday saw a few exhibitors gather in Builth for the Working & Pastoral Breeds of Wales, Sub-Group Ch Show. However, our breed has lost the CC Allocation here having had CC’s since the inception of the Society with some really good results for Roughs
The judge for today was Steve Atkinson, maybe better known as the Chairman of Manchester Dog Show and partner to Tracy Irvine of the world famous Twinan kennel of both Pembroke and Cardigan Corgis.
His entry, to be judged after a few other breeds, over the 8 scheduled classes was 4 males and 10 females but actually on the day all 4 males were present but 4 ladies were absent.
Winning Best Dog, from Open was Debbie Garside and her sable Demelewis Gang Leader with RBD going to Serenlas Catching Stars from Junior in the ownership of Kayla Flower, Stefani’s daughter. Chelborn Look at Me was the only entrant in PD, for Sue Thorne and took BPD.
BB, again from Open ,went to Bel Ch Takhisis Lady of Mystery BW 24/25 and Sophie Wray-Ramsden, followed home by Chelborn Blew Me Away handled by co-owner Isaac Preddy for Vanessa Cronk and she was also BPB
At the end of this short judging day, BOB went to Debbie Garside, from Cleveleys Lancashire and Demelewis Gang Leader (Ch Corydon The Ringleader ex Corydon Victoriana For Demelewis) and he was born 4th Jan 2020. BPIB was declared as Isaac and Vanessa’s Chelborn Blew Me Away. (Ch Kourika You’ll Do For Me ex Ch Skabona If I Saw You In Heaven for Chelborn) and she was born in June last year.
Sue Bird judged the adult group but we did not feature, but in the Puppy Group, Layla, as the blue baby is known at home annexed PPG2, this time handled by Isaac and judged by Sally Duffin.
Not content with these wins, this blue baby also won 2nd in the Puppy Stakes, also judged by Sally Duffin, this time handled by Vanessa and also collected £10 prize money.
