Puppy and Stud Dog Adverts

£40 per advert
The fee to place a Rough or Smooth Collie puppy or stud dog advert on Collielife is £40.
Collielife receives an average of 1,000 visitors each day, and the puppy page is one of the highest-ranking pages on the website.
The image below shows typical weekly viewing figures for the puppy and adult dogs for sale pages.
If you include health-test results in an advert, I may ask for evidence if they are not already recorded on Collielife or the Kennel Club pedigree database.
The Collielife pedigree database can be found here . If your puppy’s sire or dam is not recorded, they can be added along with their health-test results. A link to the pedigree can then be included in your puppy advert.
Recommended Health Tests
The recommended health tests for the breed are hips and CEA-CH.
Having experienced DM first-hand, I also recommend that the DNA status for DM is known for both the sire and dam before mating. You can read more about Degenerative Myelopathy .
If either the sire or dam is DM clear, none of the puppies from the litter will be at high risk of developing the disease.
Conditions for Puppy Adverts
Puppy adverts can only be accepted if they meet the following criteria:
- Both parents must be a recognised standard colour for the breed and their details included on the advert
- The dam must not have whelped another litter within 10 months of the new litter’s due date.
- The dam must have been over one year of age at the date of mating.
- The dam must be under eight years of age at the time of birth, unless special dispensation was granted before the mating.
- The dam must not have had more than three previous litters.
- Either the sire or dam must have tested clear for DM, ensuring that any resulting puppies are not at high risk of developing the disease.

The format used for puppy adverts is shown below. I will need all the relevant information to complete your advert.
I will link to the pedigree through the Collielife pedigree database or, for Smooth Collies, to an external Smooth Collie pedigree database.
Puppy adverts remain on the website for one month. If puppies are still available after that time, simply let me know and I will be happy to keep the advert online for as long as required at no additional charge. Please note that once an advert has been removed, any request to re-list it at a later date will be treated as a new advert, and the standard advertising fee will apply.
